Butternut Sqaush-Parsnip Soup [with bacon]

• 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and diced
• 4-5 medium parsnips, cleaned and diced
• 1 medium onion, roughly chopped
• 1/2 pound of bacon, cooked and diced into “bacon bits”
• Water and/or bone broth, enough to just cover squash and parsnips in large pot (about 4-5 cups)
• 3 cloves garlic
• 2 apples, diced
• 2 tsp. ginger
• 1 tsp. cardamom
• 1 tsp. paprika
• 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional and to taste)
• 1/2 cup coconut milk
• 3 tbsp. butter

Coconut-Almond Pancakes

Basic Recipe

1/3 cup coconut flour
1/2 cup almond flour
 4 eggs
1/2 cup coconut milk
about 1/2 cup water (more or less for desired consistency)
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine dry ingredients and mix well to remove clumps. Add wet ingredients and blend well with a whisk.

Melt  2 tablespoons coconut oil in large pan over medium/low heat. Use a ladle to pour 4” pancakes into pan. Cook approximately 5 - 8 minutes on each side or until outside is medi...

Mason Cakes

    So my son, Mason, absolutely loves to eat mashed sweet potatoes and liver. Can't get enough of them. In fact, liver was one of his first foods.

      Kids will naturally gravitate toward more nutrient dense foods when they start out this way. However, even older kids can be converted with some tough love, the right foods and about 24 hours of dealing of them complaining.
